Cookie Policy
What TestConn stores in your browser, and what it does not. Last updated 18 July 2026.
What cookies are
Cookies and similar technologies — such as local storage — are small pieces of data a website can keep in your browser, for example to remember a preference between visits.
What TestConn uses today
TestConn currently sets no advertising cookies and no analytics cookies. The site does not track you across other websites, and it does not build a profile of you.
Your speed-test results and network details are held in the page while you are using it and are discarded when you close or reload it. The response carrying your network details is explicitly marked private and non-cacheable.
If advertising is introduced
If advertising is added to TestConn in future, advertising cookies may be set by the advertising provider. Before that happens:
- this policy will be updated to list the cookies actually in use;
- visitors in regions that require it will be asked for consent through a certified consent management platform; and
- a control to review or change those choices will be provided.
Managing cookies in your browser
Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and site data through its settings. Blocking cookies does not prevent TestConn from running a speed test, since the test itself does not depend on them.
