About TestConn

TestConn is a free internet diagnostics tool: measure your connection, understand the numbers, and see what network you are actually on.

What TestConn does

TestConn runs a real speed test in your browser and reports your download and upload speed, ping and jitter. Alongside it, you can see the public IP address, provider, ASN and country your connection appears to be using.

The written guides explain what each number means, so the result is useful even if you have never thought about jitter before.

How we approach it

  • Real measurements only. Every value shown comes from an actual measurement. Nothing is simulated or estimated to look better.
  • Honest gaps. When something cannot be measured reliably, TestConn shows N/A instead of a guess. Packet loss is the current example.
  • Privacy by default. Your IP is masked on screen, is not stored, and is never written to logs or analytics.
  • Transparency. The measurement method is documented publicly on the Methodology page.

Independence

TestConn is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Cloudflare, Ookla, Speedtest.net, Netflix, Fast.com, or any internet service provider. Product and company names mentioned on this site belong to their respective owners.
